Samsung’s first Android smartphone, the popular Apple iPhone improves, 4S

Samsung Android-based smartphone is the device to beat, according to statistics from comScore Friday.

3,000 people surveyed by comScore, 25.5 percent of smartphone users in the United States has a Samsung device, and 28.8% of the smartphones running the Android OS in a three-month period that ended on 31 October.

Samsung share, however, does not represent any improvement. Was 25.5 percent back in July, as well. Handset makers to see improved is the only Apple, coming in at number four by 10.8 per cent of the US smartphone market, up 1.3 percent. Apple's latest smartphone, iPhone 4S, hit store shelves on October 14.

Google's Android OS see 4.4 per cent increase in United States, though, jumping from 26.0 per cent to 46.3 per cent between July and October. Apple came in second with 1 iOS per cent increase of 17.5 per cent.

Razer Preps for pre
